Going For Gold
Going for Gold is a daily live 60-minute general knowledge quiz, presented by John Suchet, featuring four studio contestants from throughout the UK who will compete to become the daily champion and win a cash prize.
The programme will consist of three classic rounds, Beat-the-Buzzer, Four-in-a-Row, and Head-to-Head. The winner will then be given the chance to return on the next edition to defend their title.
In addition to the daily show there will also be Going for Gold Extra, a ten-minute programme that pits the winner of the daily show head-to-head with an interactive winner at home, for the chance to win a cash prize.
Going for Gold was first broadcast in the late eighties and ran for nearly a decade. It was presented by Henry Kelly and the series, along with its famous theme tune, became a cult hit.
