Andrew Llinares - Head of Thames/Syco Co Productions

Andrew started his career as a newspaper journalist in Manchester before his first move into television as a researcher for Granada Manchester. Starting on shows for Granada Satellite, Andrew soon moved over to Granada Entertainment where he worked as AP/Director.

On moving to London he worked on numerous entertainment shows, mainly for Planet 24 and Carlton, including the Andi Meets... series for Channel 4 and OK! TV for ITV, as well as spending six months filming Vinnie Jones for BBC3/BBC1 series Vinnie. 

Following his time on celebrity access shows Andrew moved to 20/20 to work on Lads' Army before moving to FremantleMedia UK (formerly talkbackTHAMES) to work as Producer/Director on series 2 of Pop Idol, followed by World Idol. Andrew stayed at FremantleMedia UK (formerly talkbackTHAMES) and in 2004 produced a pilot of Streets Ahead with Sarah Beeny for Channel 4 and he then went on to produce the first series of The X Factor. In 2005 he produced Madonna Mania and Queen Mania for ITV1 and then returned as Series Producer for series 2 and 3 of The X Factor.   Andrew has also worked as a consultant producer on American Inventor (Fremantle/Syco co production for ABC).  Since 2006, Andrew has executive produced both The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.  

He has recently spearheaded the US launch of The X Factor 2011 with Richard Holloway as Executive Producer (Show Runner).
